Weather forecasts in Italy.

One can divide modern weather forecasts in three main categories: short term forecasts, medium and long term forecasts, although more generally we can say that the most reliable forecasts are those that don't predict longer than 3-4 days from the moment they have been done.

To be able to do such analysis, complex physical-mathematical models are applied. These are realized with the use of powerful computers which reproduce the atmospheric situation, obtaining a general view which is the weather forecast.

Breve miglioramento tra una depressione e l'altra

I residui della circolazione depressionaria mediterranea si attarderanno fino a domani al Sud e localmente al Centro, con tempo inizialmente instabile ma con tendenza a miglioramento. Da giovedì il tempo si mostrerà un po' più stabile, grazie ad un temporaneo aumento della pressione. Ma nei giorni immediatamente successivi una nuova depressione si approfondirà sull'ovest Europa, determinando in una prima fase un aumento delle temperature, soprattutto al Centro-Sud, per il richiamo di correnti afro-mediterranee. Poi si assisterà ad un peggioramento, per l'avvicinamento di una perturbazione da ovest che apporterà nubi e piogge nel week-end a partire dal Nord e dalle centrali tirreniche. MERCOLEDI': Instabile al Sud con rovesci e locali temporali in attenuazione dal pomeriggio, variabile al Centro con piovaschi sparsi più probabili sulle Tirreniche, prevale il bel tempo al Nord. GIOVEDI': Peggiora al Nord e su dorsale con piogge soprattutto dal pomeriggio, poco o parzialmente nuvoloso altrove. VENERDI': Variabile al Nord ed in Toscana con qualche pioggia più frequente sui rilievi, più sole altrove con temperature in aumento.
